Crave yoga's benefits - but afraid to look "weird"? Think yoga requires you to twist your body like a pretzel? Now there's a friendly, full-color, hand-holding, one-step-at-a-time, few-minutes-a-day way to get started. It meets you right where you are, with three sections that each have a different approach to fit your needs. "Instant Yoga" gets you going immediately with 15 practice sessions for any time of the day, even when there are only a few minutes to spare. Run through a sequence and the workout's over! "Fix-Its" offers solutions to specific problems, such as a sore neck, back pain, those aching feet, or stress. In the "Glossary," the author demonstrates every pose correctly, with instructions for improving technique.

The changes you experience will amaze and delight you so much you'll never want to wimp out on your workout!

"In yoga, the body is used as an instrument to train the mind, with a central goal being full self-acceptance. Flexibility or lack of flexibility is not the essential issue: what is important is sincere effort. Yoga for Wimps takes the difficult subject of yoga and presents many small, very useful, and encouraging steps - making yoga accessible to those who otherwise would not attempt such a discipline. I hope, trust, and pray that Yoga for Wimps ignites in the reader the enthusiasm to reach for lofty heights." - Ramanand Patel, International Yoga Teacher

Miriam Austin discovered the wonder of yoga after an injury - and quickly noticed how great she felt on the days she did the exercises. Her back didn't hurt, she felt calm and centered, and even her work improved! Now she loves yoga so much she is an acclaimed teacher.

Pam gave me a yoga video a while back, hoping it would help with the strength problems in my body. When I'm feeling good I do a few poses (I do a mean Dog pose) and I feel good and stretched, which is really good for my back especially.

When I saw this book I thought I'd give it a go, and see if there were any easier poses that wouldn't hurt quite as much as the ones on the tape. Though I haven't fully explored it yet I hold out great hopes. I'd love to do yoga often as I used to be incredibly bendy, and I'd love to be again one day.
