I see all kinds of jiffy bits of JavaScript as I'm a-surfing the WWW, and a while back I decided it was about time I added to my repertoire. I'd been looking around for a while for a very basic book, just to find out if it was something I wanted to take further. I'd seen tons of huge tomes, all you'll ever need to know, but I wasn't really willing to part with big money until I was sure I was into it...so when mum asked me what I wanted for my birthday, a cheap and cheerful JavaScript book was right there on the list...and guess what? My mum rocks! This is the book she picked out, and as you can see I've already had a little dip in. I'm waiting till my brain can absorb more before really tackling it, but even with my dodgy noggin it looks approachable!

Ok, I admit, I'm a slacker! I haven't been in the mood to retain information, so have hardly looked at this since I got it. I'm going to have to change that soon...I hope!

The End...sort of

I've referred to this book on and off over the last few months, and I think that's how it'll continue to be of use. It's a simple book to use, and easy to work out what you need and where to find it. It is very basic, and that's a good thing for writing scripts from scratch, but something more advanced is going to be needed soon for modifying more complex scripts. For a rank beginner it's a good book, anyone else would probably want something more detailed.
