Employing his formidable talent for fable and allegory, C.S. Lewis ponders the timeless question of the existence of Heaven and Hell - can one exist without the other? In the story he comes across a host of supernatural beings, who demonstrate the consequences of everyday behaviour.

I'm looking forward to reading this, as a fan of the Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis has a talent for seeing the magic in even the most mundane things (whether it be wardrobes or Turkish delight) and I look forward to reading his adult novels.
