It's 1981, and the nation is going Eurovision-crazy. A young band Things Fall Apart, are the British hopefuls with their catchy hit, Let's Be Famous. Despite their energetic performance, Europe is unimpressed. Null points to the UK.

But the band don't let go of their dream, and they persevere to become one of the most famous boy-girl pop acts of the eighties. From the innocent early days to the K-Tel Greatest Hits CD and their last ugly fight in the Blue Peter Garden - this is their story, warts and all.

Hugely funny and immensely readable, All The Rage is a fantastic novel encompassing the best (and the worst) of the decade that taste forgot. Amidst the sequinned boob tubes and spangly jumpsuits is a touching story about dreams, disappointments, and the highs and lows of fame.

No one should fight in the Blue Peter Garden!!! It's just not done, it's like taking a piss in St Paul's Cathedral font or something!

This book sounds like a lot of fun. It'll either be bitingly witty, and wonderful in it's observational humour, or it'll be loud, egotistical and the epitome of everything bad of Thatcherite England. I'm going to have to read it to find out which.
